Invisalign® Treatment

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth without the use of metal wires or brackets found in traditional braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable trays called aligners that are completely customized to fit your teeth and mouth perfectly. The aligners are clear, making them almost invisible to others. The aligners are removable, so they can simply be popped out for activities like eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Just pop them back in when you’re done. This means that Invisalign doesn’t come with the dietary restrictions of traditional braces and makes it easier to brush and floss over the course of your treatment. Plus less frequent and shorter appointments mean straightening your teeth can fit easily into your busy life!

Pinter & Carroll are THE Invisalign experts, treating more adults and teens than anyone in South Carolina. If you been told in the past that you aren’t a “candidate” for Invisalign, come see us at Pitner Orthodontics for a second opinion. Dr. Pitner has successfully treated virtually all orthodontic problems using Invisalign.

Invisalign Teen

Adolescence is an important and busy time in a child’s life. Most teens have schedules packed with school, sports, and other family activities. Wearing visible braces and making frequent trips to the orthodontist just doesn’t fit into the busy lives for many families. Invisalign Teen is a option that works easily for everyone’s schedule, including mom and dad! Invisalign Teen is the same as Invisalign, but also offers features to monitor how well your teen is wearing the aligners and free replacement aligners if one goes missing.

How it works

To start your Invisalign treatment, we use a scanner to make virtual 3-D models of your teeth to develop a treatment plan that will be our guide to delivering your ideal smile. You’ll then receive a set of clear plastic aligners – as few as 5 or 6 or as many as 60-70, depending on your individual needs. You’ll wear each aligner for a week, switching to the next one when you’re finished. With each new aligner, your teeth will shift gradually until they’ve reached their final position and you’ve got your best smile!
